The Digital Menu

Try the digital menu functionality implemented on the Masaya website right now.

When creating the design, we wanted to bring the restaurant experience directly to customers and allow them to explore the different dishes through the online presentation.


For the design, we chose an oriental font, soft colors, and painted motifs so characteristic of Japan.


To provide a coherent sense and unique customer experience, we also created a storytelling design, where the user begins with a glimpse into the kitchen, discovers the history and legacy of Masaya restaurant in Barcelona, explores the complete menu, and learns about the opinions of people who have visited.

MOBILE-FIRST

In restaurants, the mobile version of the website is always essential, as approximately 80% of all restaurant web traffic comes from visitors using mobile devices. This is quite logical, as the overwhelming majority of people search for restaurants on the street when they are hungry or when the idea of going to a restaurant arises.


For this reason, we approached the project using the “mobile-first” approach, which means that all functionality was developed primarily with mobile devices in mind. Thanks to this approach, the user has a unique experience designed specifically for mobile devices.
